Wehbe discusses with the European ambassadors the importance of resuming the dialogue

During his meeting in Beirut with the German ambassador to Lebanon, Andis Kindle, the second man in the British diplomatic mission, Allison King, as well as the political advisor to the French embassy, ​​Sebastian Lesollnier, Wehbe stressed that “resuming constructive dialogue between the two parties to the agreement is the best way to save the nuclear agreement and create Solutions to many crises in the region. ”

Since the election of Joe Biden to the presidency of the United States, Washington, the European parties (France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Editor’s note) – and Tehran has been trying to salvage the Vienna Agreement, which gave Iran a cut in international treaty sanctions in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear program. Former US President Donald Trump withdrew Washington from the accord in 2018 and reimposed sanctions on the Islamic Republic. Iran said on Sunday that it did not consider the time “appropriate” to hold an informal meeting on the nuclear deal proposed by the European Union, including the United States.

Charbel Wehbe also spoke with the Yemeni ambassador to Lebanon, Abdullah Al-Karim, in particular about “intensifying the siege around the cities of Ma’rib and Hodeidah.” Mr. Wahbi said, “We hope that the Yemeni parties will follow the path of internal dialogue, because it remains the safest and least harmful way out of the crises that afflicted the brother Yemen.”

In the war in Yemen, government forces are supported militarily by the coalition of states led by Saudi Arabia, and the Houthi rebels are backed by Iran, which nevertheless denies supplying weapons to the rebels.
