Vietnam and the United Kingdom enhance their parliamentary cooperation hinh anh 1

LONDON (VNA) – John Francis McFall, Speaker of the House of Lords of England, welcomed Vietnamese Ambassador to the Nguyen Hoang Long on November 22 (local time).

John Francis McBall has expressed his readiness to implement measures to enhance the friendly and strategic partnership between the two countries, including Vietnam and its Embassy in the United Kingdom, including exchanges of delegates and parliamentary cooperation.

For his part, Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long offered to assist Vietnam in implementing key cooperation plans and programs and developing legal capabilities with the Speaker of the United Kingdom House of Lords. He also suggested supporting the exchanges of high-level representatives between the two countries’ legislatures in the coming years in particular. Vietnam and the United Kingdom 2023 will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.

In recent years, the relationship between Vietnam and the UK House of Lords and Commons has grown with many practical and effective functions. In the context of the Govt-19 epidemic, both sides are still maintaining exchanges and improving cooperation plans for the foreseeable future. -VNA
