The U.S. Treasury told Congress on April 16 in its half-yearly report on the exchange rates and key economic policies of key US trading partners that no country currently meets US standards as a handler.

Vietnam, Switzerland and தாIVan (China) will be closely monitored, meaning that these countries and territories will not immediately face US sanctions.

According to the report, Joe Biden was not identified as the administration’s first, China currency handler. The Donald Trump administration put China on the list in 2019 amid a trade conflict between the world’s two largest economies.
