Top sellers in the UK for March 2021

These figures are based on data from GfK Entertainment.

Sales of the switch continue to rise. Since the beginning of the year, the console has risen 13.6% in the first three months of 2020, not bad for a machine entering the market for a fifth year. March 2020 is an important month for UK physical sports and console sales due to the start of the COVID-19 lockout, so comparisons for 2021 do not seem very logical. In the four weeks to April 3, 2021, 217,268 game consoles (unnoticed data) were sold in the UK, down 7.6% from the same period in 2020.

In terms of box games, more than a million games were sold in March 2021, a 20% drop from the same period in 2020. Nintendo Switch topped the charts in March, Animal Trafficking: The best-selling game of the month, 12 months after New Horizons launched.
