To stimulate cooperation in research and innovation

MontrealAnd June 12, 2023 /CNW/ – The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation and Energy today signed a joint statement with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) to support collaborative research and innovation projects.

The declaration was formalized at the 2023 Montreal Conference, organized by the International Economic Forum of the Americas. In particular, it aims to accelerate energy-related research projects. The focus will be on energy transition, combating climate change, green hydrogen and electrification of transportation.

This initiative will support German Quebec Partnerships made up of start-ups, SMEs and research centers. It will also facilitate access to information on current funding programs in Quebec and Germany, as well as promote better coordination of calls for projects in the two provinces.
