Tips for recent trips to Portugal, Spain, France, Croatia and Italy

Travel to European countries such as France, Spain, Portugal and Italy Many Londoners are now considering lifting restrictions and producing vaccines.

With the announcement that Portugal will move from the green list to the orange list, travelers will now have to self-isolate upon their return to the UK, with the consideration of returning to other orange list countries.

We’ve tested the latest advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of Development (FCDO), the latest advice for UK nationals wanting to travel to Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and Croatia.

Portugal

Until June 8, Portugal will move from the green list to the orange list.

For those returning to the UK before 8 June, while Portugal is still one of the Green List countries, passengers must take the book after the covit test, book and covit test for the second day, and complete the passenger placement form.

On arrival in the UK, those returning to the UK before 8 June must be isolated only if they test positive on the second day.

Passengers should be isolated if the NHS and Trace test report that they have traveled to the UK with someone who has tested positive for the virus.

Travelers returning from Portugal to the UK after 8 June follow the same rules regarding testing, however, they must be isolated at home or where you are staying upon arrival.

You must also take the government examinations on the second and eighth day after your arrival.

Spain

This list remains unchanged with regard to Spain’s position on June 4, it is on the Amber List.

This means that passengers must write a government check before departure, as well as a government check on the second and eighth day.

Anyone returning from Spain should be quarantined at home or in your place of residence.

Spain’s national emergency ended on May 9, with some restrictions and curfews in place, so be sure to check for updates on the rules for the region you’re visiting.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office of Development (FCDO) currently advises against doing anything other than essential travel to Spain.

France

Since June 5, France has been on the orange list, which means that travel restrictions equivalent to those of Spain and Portugal are described above.

The health situation in France is “serious” according to the British government’s website, and a national curfew is in effect from 9pm until 6am.

The FCDO currently advises against doing anything except traveling to France to assess the underlying government risks.

Essentials for outdoors, culture and hospitality will reopen from May 19.

Croatia

Until June 5 d The FDCO advises against travel through Croatia only when necessary due to current government risks.

As for its position in the traffic light system, Croatia is on the Amber List, which means return restrictions in the UK are specific to Portugal, Spain and France.

Passengers must present a negative Kovit test upon arrival in Croatia, but must also provide proof of the validity of their visit.

Italy

Since June 5, Italy is on the orange list.

This means that anyone returning from Italy to the UK must be quarantined at home or where you are staying after your arrival.

You must also take the government examinations on the second and eighth day after your arrival.

However, at the time of writing, the FDCO advises against all travel to Italy except for essential travel, including Vatican City.
