The country, which will host the 2023 edition of Eurovision next year, has been unable to find a suitable venue to host the European Song Contest.

The United Kingdom, which will host the 2023 edition of Eurovision next year, is facing scheduling problems and has been unable to find a suitable venue to host the European Song Contest.

According to the information BBC, the UK stadium is not empty for the duration of the match. André Rieu and Elton John are planning to hold concerts in Eurovision-friendly venues this period.

“Some tour dates are certain to have to be pushed back or canceled to make way for May,” we read on the BBC. The list of cities that can host the event will be released this Friday.

Safety reasons

The organizers of Eurovision must reserve a venue six to eight weeks before the evening. “It takes three weeks to set up, then three to four weeks of rehearsals – including one dedicated to the event,” Claudio Sanducci, the show’s head, told the BBC.

Eurovision 2023 will be held in the United Kingdom and not Ukraine, which has condemned the decision to withdraw the next edition for security reasons after the Russian invasion of its territory.
