Syndicat Lauragais Audois (SLA), since its inception in an ever more innovative dynamic to provide the best possible service to all teens in the region. Thus, the SLA just launched the Youth Mobile Space. This new structure, open to children between the ages of 11 and 25, allows all young people from the 43 municipalities of the commune Castelnaudary Lauragais Audois (CCCLA) to participate in customized actions during the different reception periods.
From July 7 to August 6, the Youth Walking Zone is launched and offers activities and a range of activities. The goal is to provide educational free time, participate in the training of active citizens through the implementation of joint projects and allow meetings between young people while making them discover and practice “living together”.
Access to culture in all its forms and sports practices are also highlighted in this new structure.
“This youth space is the result of the signing of an agreement and the ‘PS young’ project launched by the Family Benefits Fund (CAF) and concluded in a tripartite format with CAF, SLA and the City of Castelnaudary. We join this project, participating in the activities organized during the summer season such as 20 and 21 July at De Coubertin stable for Graff Training which is entirely organized and managed by SLA but with provision of animators and participation of our Chauriens youth. It is a collective project for the benefit of the youth of the territory.” Explains Agnès Beaver, who is responsible for the Childhood and Youth Service.
To integrate the activities of the youth itinerant area, it is sufficient to register for the various activities offered, however no catering is provided, and only meals taken from the bag must be provided by the youth. A pickup is organized in the area every day with the number of places limited to 8. Reservations are required before 12 noon on the same day at 07 76 00 32 20.
