PARIS: January 10 (Cinktank.com) –
Buckingham Palace on Monday unveiled a program of Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee celebrations, including street parties, a concert with some of the world’s “biggest entertainment stars” and the chance to see some of them up close. Queen’s homes.
The first event will be a competition to create a new dessert to celebrate the reign of Elizabeth II. The decision will be made by a panel of experts made up of, among others, food writer and TV presenter Mary Barry or “Masterchief” judge Monica Galletti. The winning recipe will be available for the public to try, as reported by the BBC.
The Platinum Jubilee, which will celebrate 70 years on the king’s throne, will conclude with a four-day weekend in the UK, running from 2-5 June. February 6 will be when Elizabeth II becomes the first British Queen to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, but the first week of June was chosen because the climate is better in the country.
At the moment, it is not clear what events the 95-year-old queen will attend in person. In October, her doctors advised her to rest after a night in the hospital.
