SPI International launches Metaverse Space

Media company SPI International, now part of the Canal + Group, has announced the launch of its first space in the metaverse, Casa FilmBox. Spatial’s metaverse virtual space includes a boardroom, meeting rooms, showrooms and exhibition halls to showcase SPI’s portfolio of content, products and marketing campaigns. Casa FilmBox also has a performance center that the company would like to use to organize special events such as movie screenings, screenings, corporate meetings, and other community activities.

“With the introduction of high-speed mobile internet, 5G, the metaverse will become an essential part of our daily lives. We see the metaverse as a space where the physical and the digital come together to create a ‘phygital’ – an entirely new immersive experience that will change the way brands interact with their communities and vice versa. It will be the kind of immersive engagement that has never been seen before in the professional world,” commented Haymi Behar, CMO & CDO at SPI International.

Casa FilmBox is designed to introduce metaverse users to the SPI/FilmBox brand and bring SPI teams, partners and audiences together in a fully immersive virtual hub that enables a new level of creative and effective collaboration. “These virtual hubs will allow professionals to visually express their ideas and work and engage with their team members around the world in one common environment, as if they were side by side. Collaborative thinking increases productivity dramatically and metaverse will help in this direction,” added Behar.

SPI has also set up a showroom that showcases its selection of content for customers to browse through their catalog. In addition, the company plans to create and share non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with the community in the near future across the metaverse.
