ScienceApart from that, Switzerland and the United Kingdom stand together in research
Guy Parmelin has signed a research and innovation partnership in London.
The United Kingdom and Switzerland, both excluded from European scientific research programs, laid the foundation on Thursday for a partnership to “deepen ties” between the two countries in the field, London announced in a press release. The Memorandum of Understanding will lead to several forms of cooperation: “consolidated or joint ventures, programs or projects”, “meetings, workshops, conferences or symposia”, but also “exchange of information and documents”.
The main objective of the text is to promote networking and collaboration between players in the fields of research and innovation in both countries. Particular attention is paid to the development of “deep science” and “deep tech”, for example in the fields of quantum technologies or artificial intelligence.
