Queen Elizabeth will celebrate 70 years of the throne with a star formation
The BBC and Buckingham Palace announced Thursday that a huge concert, titled “A Platinum Concert at the Palace”, will take place in London on June 4 and will last nearly three hours.
Some of the artists expected to make it to the Royal Theater include Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, Duran Duran, Andrea Bocelli and The Queen with Adam Lambert and Neil Rodgers. Elton John’s performance will be prerecorded as he is currently on tour. Diana Ross will also perform in her first UK concert in 15 years.
The splendor will feature 3 stages and 3D projections on the face of the palace. The evening will also see guest appearances from David Attenborough, David Beckham and Julie Andrews, to name a few. In addition, the Royal Ballet will give a special performance.

The BBC’s “Platinum Party at the Palace”, which celebrates the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s accession to the throne, will feature a host of stars including Diana Ross.

On the musical side, stars from “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Hamilton”, “The Lion King”, “Six” and “Joseph and the Incredible Technicolor Dreamcoat” will appear on the stage.
“I have had the honor to meet the Queen on several occasions in my life, including when I was with my family,” Ross, 78, revealed in a statement. “Her Majesty has been and continues to be an incredible inspiration to so many people around the world, and I was so happy to receive an invitation to perform on such an important and historic occasion.”
Stewart, 77, said: “Queen Elizabeth has done an incredible service to the United Kingdom over the past 70 years and I am delighted to be able to join her in celebrating her platinum jubilee with her ‘Palace Party.’ She has shown the world how special she is and how lucky we are to have her. It will be a momentous occasion.
Queen Brian May added: “After twenty years of playing the Queen’s glorious golden jubilee, we are very excited to be invited again.” “Then there was a moment where I wondered… after the roof of Buckingham Palace, where do you go? Well… you’ll see!”

The monarch’s public appearance is being closely watched as Britain prepares for four days of Platinum Jubilee celebrations from June 2-5.
Palace officials said the 96-year-old had been experiencing “occasional mobility issues” in recent months and had difficulty moving around.

The Queen receives the public on June 2. She will be accompanied on the balcony by three of her four children and their wives: Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; Princess Anne and retired Vice Admiral Timothy Lawrence; and Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton will also be on the balcony with their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis. William, 39, is second in line to the throne after his father Charles.
