Jack Grealish He spent his medical visit in Manchester City and is getting closer and closer to the record-breaking Skyblues move, the British press reported on Thursday.
Grealish, who was playing this season at Aston Villa where he was captain, was photographed leaving the English champion’s training center.
The attacking midfielder, who is under contract until 2025 with Phelan, scored six goals and provided ten assists for Aston Villa last season.
Jack Grealish trained at the club, and has never transferred yet, although he did spend a season on loan with Notts County in 2013-14.
He participated in 213 games for Birmingham, where he scored 32 goals and provided 43 assists. However, he never played in the Champions League.
The midfielder was also selected with the England national team for Euro 2020, where she reached the final.
As a substitute, he signed several notable starts, including the one against Germany in the Round of 16, during which he assisted Harry Kane.
The amount of his transfer to Manchester City is said to be around £100 million (or around €117 million). Skyblues has reportedly activated a clause in the England midfielder’s contract, which would force Aston Villa to accept an offer of that amount.
Thus, he becomes the most expensive English player in history.
Jack Grealish would also break the record for the most expensive Premier League transfer, ahead of Paul Pogba to great rival Manchester United, from Juventus Turin in 2016 (estimated €104 million).
