The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Al-Jarandi received today, Friday, the British Ambassador to Tunisia, Edward Oakden, on the occasion of the end of his mission at the head of the British delegation in Tunisia.
This was stated in a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs carried by the Tunisia Africa News Agency (TAP / official).
On this occasion, the British diplomat reiterated his country’s readiness to continue supporting Tunisia, and welcomed the level of cooperation and consultation between the two countries on regional and international issues of common interest.
For his part, Girandi praised the level of Tunisian-British relations that have reached during the past decade, as well as the support provided by the United Kingdom to Tunisia.
He stressed the need to continue bilateral consultations with the aim of enhancing cooperation in various fields and concluding new partnerships.
According to the press release, this meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on regional issues and international geostrategic developments.
The two parties agreed to continue bilateral consultations in regional and international forums to serve the common interests of the two countries.
