Olympics: Canadians hope for the US

Montreal Canadiens prospect Shaun Farrell is one of 25 players selected for the US roster for the upcoming Olympics.

Farrell is one of 13 NHL teams that will be selected for the United States national team, Team USA Hockey confirmed earlier this evening.

After leading the USHL last year with 101 points in 53 games, the 2020 fourth-round pick kicked off his college career with flying colors this season. With Harvard, he scored eight goals and has 19 points in 13 games, and finished second on his team.

Other notable picks include Jake Sanderson (Ottawa Senators), Matthew Beners (Seattle Kraken) and Brendan Bryson (Vegas Golden Knights).

Former Habs Kenny Agostino, who plays today with the Torpedo of Nizhny Novgorod in the Continental Hockey League (KHL), has also been called up to participate in the Beijing Olympics.
