Nokia 5.4 goes on sale in India today: price, specifications and availability

Nokia 5.4 will go on sale in India today. The device was launched in India a week ago with its younger brother Nokia 3.4 and Nokia Power Earbuds Lite TWS. Nokia 5.4 is the company’s new budget phone and it will be the successor to Nokia 5.3 in India.

Nokia 5.4 costs less than 15,000 rupees and will go on sale via Flipkart from today in India. The phone is available in two shapes and also in two color options. Nokia 5.4 will count Realme, Poco, Redmi and Samsung in the category of under 15,000 rupees.

The basic version of Nokia 5.4 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage is priced at Rs 13,999 while the 6 + 64 GB is priced at Rs 15,499, and the device is available in two color options – Dusk and Polar Night. The device will go on sale at noon today via Flipkart.

Nokia 5.4 specifications

The Nokia 5.4 phone comes with a 6.39-inch HD + display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by Snapdragon 662 SoC and it is a budget chip from Qualcomm. The Snapdragon 662 also powers the Moto G9, Realme 7i, Poco M3, Redmi 9 Power, and more in India.

Moreover, the Nokia 5.4 comes in two variants – 4 + 64 GB and 6 + 64 GB, and it also offers a dedicated microSD card slot and a dual SIM slot. The biggest update to Nokia 5.4 is the optics. The new economy Nokia phone has a 48MP main sensor, followed by a 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP Maro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, you will get a 16MP selfie camera located in the aperture hole.

The internal components are powered by a 4000 mAh battery with a USB Type-C charging interface. However, there is no fast charging here as the speed is limited to 10W. The fingerprint reader is located on the back of the device. Finally, the device runs Android 10 out of the box and the company has promised Android 11 soon. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, 8.7mm thickness, and 181g weight.

Nokia is also reported to be bringing affordable 5G phones to India this year. Previously, Nokia was also working on a budget 5G phone with MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset.
