Therefore, the world hastened to try the title, including many streaming devices, often equipped with RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, including many EVGA. Quickly, the first message was posted on the game forums from a user who saw his EVGA RTX 3090 FTW 3 hacked by New World. Then other users expressed their problem, including an issue with the Gigabyte RTX 3090.

Later on, many streamers like Gladd also saw their card die after a few hours of playing.

Others like Joueur du Grenier have reported frequent crashes, but without specifying the RTX 3090.

Where could this problem come from?

EVGA is usually a company that makes high-quality Nvidia graphics cards. On the other hand, this issue seems to affect New World, but if you type EVGA’s red light into a search engine, there are many posts about EVGA’s RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 that died prematurely.

New World is also notorious for messing around with settings and requiring massive amounts of resources. Its optimum has also been determined. So when it is launched it causes a sudden surge in the power of the graphics card which should suddenly provide the maximum. So it’s possible that EVGA’s RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 find it difficult to withstand sudden power demands resulting in rapid overheating. Furthermore, users using additional cooling in their RTX 3080 and 3090 from EVGA, or after limiting the heat emitted to 70 degrees, have not seen their graphics card die.

In the meantime, if you have one of the graphics cards that has issues, you can also stay away from New World until they are fixed.
