Jimmy Spears, the singer’s father, is the legal guardian on the financial and professional side, after he veered off the health side in 2019 when he himself got sick.

This Wednesday at a hearing, the singer’s lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham III, announced that he had registered a motion requesting that Jodi Montgomery be a full-time commercial tutor for the star.

Meanwhile, the question of whether this also applies to the fortune of the singer, which is currently managed by Bessemer Trust and Jamie Spears, has not been settled. The application will be evaluated on April 27th.

Meanwhile, Jamie Spears and the Bessemer Trust will work with Samuel D. Ingham III to prepare a list of assets, companies and how the money will be spent.

The news comes a day after journalist Maubin Azhar announced that he is working on a BBC documentary, which will focus on Britney Spears’ guardianship and the #FreeBritney movement.

We’ll see the reporter go to Kentwood, Louisiana, the pop star’s hometown, as well as Los Angeles, or to attend a court hearing.

“I went to Los Angeles to find the truth about how Britney Spears, one of the greatest pop stars on the planet, ended up under a tutelage. I found myself in a world of lawyers, fans, and photographers, and I spent time with a lot of people who were in the first row in Britney’s life. This movie builds on the energy of the #FreeBritney movement, and challenges the industry, fans, and laws facilitating guardianship.
