Good news for fans Cobra Kai. Netflix has just revealed the first teaser for season 4, which is set to release in December. The exact date will be revealed soon by the streaming platform.
Following on from the “Karate Kid” films, this series illustrates the new adventures of karatekas Johnny Lawrence (William “Billy” Zabka) and Daniel “Danny” Larseau (Ralph Macchio). As a reminder, Season 3 ended with the feud between the two opponents, embodied by the original performers, almost forty years after their first kata appeared on the big screen. Thus, the duo are more united than ever to take on the terrible Sensei Kris (Martin Cove).
Besides them, there were also other symbolic faces of the epic, such as Elizabeth Shaw, the pseudonym Ali. The actress played my first love for Johnny and Daniel in 1984’s “The Karate Kid”. Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita) was also getting her screen back. She was Daniel’s lover in the 1986 feature film. We’re finally referring to the return of Yuji Okumoto, aka Shozen, the stepson of Sato (Danny Kamekuna), whom Daniel fought against at the end of the second film.
In an interview with Paley Front Rown, showrunner Josh Held said the new episodes will retain the atmosphere of Season 3. “We want to continue delivering that dopamine to our fans that generates that sense of well-being. We want to make sure we deliver the goosebumps, the tears, the laughter, the punches. […] There will be different tastes. It’s bigger. We are really proud of what we’ve done so far. And I can’t wait for the fans to see it all.” He explains. Strongly!
