Natasha Francesky, a career member of the US Department of State’s Senior Diplomatic Service, assumed her duties as Chargé d’Affairs at the US Embassy in Tunisia in April 2022. Ms. Franceschi began her assignment in Tunisia as Deputy Chief of Mission in November 2021. Previously she served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy In Bratislava, Slovakia.
She has served as Director of the Bureau of Caucasian Affairs and Regional Conflicts at the State Department, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Arabian Peninsula Affairs, Deputy Political Counsellor at the United States Embassy in Baghdad, and Deputy Political Counsellor in the United States NATO Mission, where she oversaw NATO’s relations with its partners in the Middle East and North Africa. Previously, she held various positions in Islamabad, Nur-Sultan, Sarajevo, Moscow and Washington in the offices of Near Eastern Affairs and Political and Military Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mrs. Franceschi was born and raised in Sonoma County, California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Swarthmore College and an MA in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University. Ms. Franceschi is the recipient of several awards from the US Department of State.
