Tournaments stopped, and training could not take place for almost a year. But since the start of the season, in September, the club has moved forward. This Sunday, the Narbonne mixed team met for a friendly match with Bayonne, at the Calixte-Camel Gymnasium. In March 2022, the club plans to organize a major tournament in Maraussan.

Roller derby, how does it work

It was developed primarily in the United States. He was born in the middle of the Great Depression, in 1929, in Chicago, when his inventor, promoter Leo Seltzer, came up with the idea of ​​simulating the Los Angeles/New York Marathon under the watchful eyes of cameras on a covered, circular track. Teams made up of a man and a woman had to make at least 57,000 laps. Léo Seltzer immediately saw that the interest of the race lay in the clashes it generated.
