The Sussex family has signed a new deal in the business world, agreeing to a new partnership with an investment firm, Ethic.
Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry have forged a new partnership in the business world, this time with investment firm Ethic, which promotes financial investments that meet certain environmental, social and governance criteria. In addition to investing part of their savings in the business, the couple becomes an “influential partner,” Ethic explained on her site Tuesday without giving further details about their specific role.
Prince Harry and Meghan “share many values with us, and we think so do many of you,” they wrote. “By working together, we hope to inform, educate, and inspire broad action on some of the most defining issues of our time,” Ethick says.
“We don’t have the luxury of investing, looks very elegant”
In an interview withThe New York TimesThe couple made it clear that they wanted to democratize the idea of investing, and do it in responsible companies. “In the world where I come from, we don’t talk about investing (…). We don’t have the luxury of investing, it looks very elegant,” Meghan Markle said in this interview. With only our values, we can put our money there,” she said, noting that she had heard about morals from friends.
In addition to their charitable activities, the couple has forged many collaborations since arriving in California and retiring from the British monarchy, including lucrative partnerships with Netflix and Spotify. Prince Harry also accepted a management position at San Francisco-based coaching firm BetterUp in March and is due to publish his memoirs in 2022.
