Is America more efficient thanks to LOSC? An American legend thinks so

Eric Wynalda (53) is a legend in America. With 107 caps (for 34 goals), the striker participated in the World Cup three times (1990, 1994, 1998) and scored the first goal in the history of Major League Soccer (MLS), the domestic championship in 1996.

Our colleagues raised questions from usAction Network, Wynalda spoke about Timothy Vea’s transfer by LOSC. The French club uses the forward at left-back and right-back.

“After playing the entire 2022 World Cup in attack, Timothy Weah is now fully back at club level. He is the undisputed starter in his new position, and this could be his best position on the field for his career.Wynalda said.

Weah actually played in attack during the World Cup in Qatar, notably scoring a goal against Wales.

For Wynalda, the United States should follow LOSC’s example

Despite Weah’s outstanding offensive contribution in the US selection, Wynalda thinks his country should follow the LOSC and play Weah on defense: “He can play for selection when we call him. And he said he wants to play in this position as he faces the game.

“He’s clearly embraced the defensive responsibilities of the position and knows when to step up offensively. This bodes well for his future with Team USA and Tim has proven to be capable of playing multiple positions. It’s interesting to me that he seems to need his father’s approval in his statements.Wynalda added.

Timothy Weah’s father is none other than George Weah, the current president of Liberia and a 90’s football legend. Weah’s father won the 1995 Ballon d’Or and played for big clubs like Monaco, PSG, AC Milan, Chelsea, Manchester City and OM.
