Weather – The UK Having been experiencing particularly bitter cold weather for a few days, the negative temperatures are not without consequences for the daily lives of the British. With snowstorms already hitting December 2022, the country is facing new severe weather conditions, forcing the Health Protection Agency to extend the level three cold warning launched at the beginning of the month until Friday, January 27.
The Met Office, Britain’s national weather service, recorded -9.8 degrees on the night of January 22 in Suffolk, East England. It was the coldest night the district had seen in a decade.

Also, A the fog Icing canceled a dozen flights at Heathrow Airport on Monday 23 January. British Airways has canceled 33 flights from cities such as Paris, Berlin, Manchester and Edinburgh. Some passengers were stranded on planes for up to an hour after landing.

This cold weather will unfortunately have to last. Met Office weather maps show no respite and see the country blanketed in snow in the first week of February. Britons are being urged to stay at home as much as possible while they wait for better days.
