A poetic performance of astonishing plasticity about the dangers of turning against oneself.

A man is isolated in a room. Trapped between four walls, his body grows disproportionately to occupy all the space. Summing up, Hash’s plot, a show designed by Bashar Morcos, has a strange resonance with the contemporary situation where, throughout the world, entire peoples are restricted or confined.

However, this play was created long before the outbreak of the epidemic, and this play, which was first performed in France, cannot be reduced to a simple illustration of confinement. A dramatic poem of astonishing plasticity, it also evokes in a kafkaesque spirit the fear of an outside world as horrific and dangerous as the pernicious effects of withdrawing into the self. Even if, as Bashar Morcos emphasizes, this show is above all an invitation to the viewer to invest his own questions.
