aNatoni Blinken, Secretary of State, and Jake Sullivan, National Security Adviser, met in Anchorage, Alaska on March 19 with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and State Councilor Yang Jiechi. It was the first high-profile bilateral contact since the election of Joe Biden, and thus was an opportunity to define the framework and climate for future relationships between the two leading powers in the world.
