The world’s greatest cycling race returns to the screens this summer as the crème de la crème of cycling gathers to fight for the yellow jersey. Powering every stage, every race and every climb, as the home of cycling, Discovery platforms will once again present the Tour de France to spectators in more than 60 markets across Europe and Asia.
With complete exclusivity in 35 markets, Discovery’s major sports brands, Eurosport and GCN, will provide live, on-demand and ad-free coverage of every stage of the Tour via their digital platforms, Eurosport app and GCN+. For the first time, the global streaming service Discovery + Discovery will also be showing all the action via Eurosport* with Eurosport 1** also offering live broadcasts for each stop.
With three Tour de France titles, international experts from Eurosport and GCN, Sir Bradley Wiggins and Alberto Contador, are back to bring the information to viewers in the UK and Spain respectively. Committing to content with storytelling at its core, Eurosport and GCN will bring fans closer to their favorite riders with a unique action show as their 2021 feature film ‘Brad on a Bike’ starring Sir Bradley Wiggins and Bernie Eisel returns live. Across Europe, they are joined by top local experts including Juan Antonio Felica, Eduardo Chozas (Spain), Jens Voigt (Germany), Jackie Durand, Steve Chennel (France), Bobby Traxl (Netherlands) and Brian Holm (Denmark)) Tour de France coverage of Eurosport and GCN locally.

Along with live events, local post-race analysis shows will be returning to viewers across Europe, including The Breakaway, which will premiere in multiple markets (UK, Nordic, Netherlands) as well as GCN’s World of Cycling and Racing News. Performances, Les Rois de la Pédale (France) and La Montenera (Spain). Eurosport’s premiere podcast, The Bradley Wiggins Show, also returns with new episodes released regularly on the biggest movers and notable shakers, while three new episodes of Eurosport and GCN’s The Cycling Show will be released every Tuesday. Throughout the tour with exclusive interviews and guests including 2017 Green Jersey winner Michael Matthews.
As part of the most comprehensive cycling ecosystem for enthusiastic audiences around the world, GCN+ will offer subscribers exclusive content and original documentaries, both online and through the GCN app. This includes two new episodes of the Legend series, featuring documentaries on 2010 winner Andy Schleck and eight-time winner Fabian Cancellara; 1903 which brings back the first stage of the first round on the original bikes; Colnago and The Jersey – both explore the prestige and history of the tour through iconic brands and design. Three new documentaries will also be shown at Le Tour: The Tom Simpson Story, The Greatest Grand Tour Climbs and Ventoux.

Tour de France coverage by Eurosport and GCN began on June 24 with the team’s official presentation, before the start of the first stage in Brest on June 26. Eurosport and GCN will also provide fans with live coverage of the women’s tournament by Le Tour de France on June 26.
