The Danish government condemned the violation of Danish airspace by two Russian planes on Friday and summoned the Russian ambassador over the incident, which the Danish defense minister described as worrying. The Ministry of Defense explained, according to the Ritzau Agency, that two combat aircraft were sent to meet them to prevent this incursion.
“It is absolutely unacceptable for Russian planes to enter Danish airspace twice in one day.”Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod wrote on Twitter. According to him, the fact that this violation of Danish airspace has occurred twice makes it seem “Deliberate action”.
“We are still examining the details, but I have already taken the initiative to summon the Russian ambassador for an interview at the Foreign Ministry,” he added., he added.
These incursions occurred over the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea, south of Sweden. “It is very rare to see this kind of violation of Danish airspace, so two violations on the same day should be considered a concern.”Defense Minister Trine Bramsen told Ritzau.
