A high school in Laval and another in Mont Saint-Hilaire, in Monterige, will be closed temporarily on Monday for a few days due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
In Laval, the Odyssée-des-jeunes school will be closed for a week due to 12 active cases of COVID-19 and 25% of students are in isolation, Regional Public Health reported Sunday in a letter addressed to parents on Sunday.
Students and staff are isolated in six groups for a period of 14 days.
In Montergue, Regional Public Health with a letter clarified that several positive diagnoses have been reported at several levels to Ozias-Leduc in recent weeks.
It was announced that extensive checks of staff and students would be carried out at this facility over the next few days.
“The end date of this comment will be assessed by the end of the week depending on the evolution of the COVID-19 outbreak,” we can read in this message.
While waiting to return to class, distance courses are planned for the students of the two high schools.
Young people and employees who have not received a notice of dismissal do not need to self-isolate while awaiting the results of scheduled screening tests.
