Covid-19: infection rate doubles in Finistère

The numbers of the Covid-19 epidemic are on the rise in Finistere. On Wednesday, the county’s county said the infection rate had doubled since the beginning of November. There are now 75 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 37 cases per 100,000 inhabitants two weeks ago.

The most affected populations are unvaccinated children under the age of 11, who have an infection rate of 117 per 100,000 inhabitants, and children aged 26 to 35, who number 123 out of 100,000 with Covid. The most conserved are people over 65, with an infection rate of 43 per 100,000 population.

41 closed classes

The goal is to reach or exceed 26,000 weekly injections as of this week. Thus, the regional network of vaccination centers is maintained in the district, with the activity of 11 centers.
