COVID-19 – In Saône et Loire, hospitalizations are back in the red

All indicators are green despite the tense winter pandemic context. The current triple epidemic is putting the healthcare system under a lot of stress. The regional health agency of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté recalls the messages of vigilance.

The severity of the Covid-19 epidemic is decreasing again this week in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, with a decrease in the infection rate in the general population in all departments of the region. This is also the case for the epidemic of bronchiolitis, which, however, remains at a high level. Influenza continues to progress exponentially on the regional territory.

During this festive season, ARS Bourgogne-Franche-Comté asks everyone not to relax in applying individual and collective protection measures and calls once again for the responsibility and vigilance of everyone, including within the circle of friends. Respecting barrier gestures is important to avoid a new epidemic rebound.

Vaccination is still highly recommended

With regard to vaccination against Covid, it is open to everyone and highly recommended for the most vulnerable: people over 60 years of age, residents of nursing homes, people with immunodeficiencies or people with comorbidities, pregnant women, professionals in the field of Health and social medicine, people living in the environment or in regular contact with people at risk.

As for the influenza vaccination, it is now open to all French people.
