The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is coming together on this issue as a new US study concludes that mixing COVID-19 vaccines is effective and safe.
This study, which looked at nine groups of vaccines, could carry significant weight with US authorities.
“It is more persuasive and I think it will strengthen the US government to decide who will be able to enter their country,” explained Benoit Barbeau, a virologist in the Department of Biological Sciences at Kuala Lumpur State University in the US.
Acceptance of unvaccinated children
Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Ottawa confirmed to TVA Nouvelles that children who cannot be vaccinated can cross the border.
This is already the case for American children who come to Canada.
