Car crash in US kills “many”

Police say more than 20 people have been injured and “killed” in a car crash into a Christmas rally in Wisconsin on Sunday evening.

The incident took place at around 4.30pm (10.30pm) as visitors gathered in Waukesha watched the traditional Christmas parade held annually in the state of Wisconsin (North), where officials tried to gather more information.

“A red SUV exploded during a Christmas parade we were holding in the city center,” Police Chief Dan Thompson told reporters. More than 20 people were injured in the incident, ”he said.
