BTS: The festival kicks off 10 years of work

SEOUL, June 12 — A two-week festival to celebrate the 10th anniversary of debut K-pop star group Bangtan Boys (BTS) kicked off on Monday, organizers said.

The “BTS 10th Anniversary Festa” with the participation of the Seoul Municipality will be held until June 25 at various locations in the capital, with the theme “BTS performing everywhere,” said the group’s promotional agency BigHit Music. BTS has held a Festa every year to celebrate their birthday, which falls on June 13, with their fans.

During this week’s festival, major landmarks in Seoul, such as Sevit Island, N Seoul Tower, Seoul City Hall, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), and the World Cup Bridge, will be lit up in purple, the color symbolizing group, media arts. Served in the evening.

In addition, outdoor congratulatory advertisements will be placed at Samseong and Euljiro 1-ga subway stations, as well as on the busy streets of Teheranno and Myeongdong. On the wall of Hybe Building in Yongsan District, graffiti depicting photos of BTS members will be displayed. Outdoor advertising will also be installed for overseas audiences in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Osaka.

The highlight of the festival will be held at Han River Park in Yeouido, southwest of Seoul, on Saturday. The “BTS 10th Anniversary Festa @ Yeouido” will present various programs, including a BTS History Wall, a fashion exhibition from the shooting of the entertainment web series “Run BTS”, a 10th anniversary sculpture and a booth to try out sticker tattoos, depending on the agency.

Especially at 5 p.m., RM will appear at the “Army Lounge”, which will be held at the event venue, and host a special program called “5 p.m., I am Kim Nam Joon (RM’s real name)”. He will communicate directly with fans and share his feelings about the 10-year career. This event will be broadcast on Weverse Live.

At 8:30 pm, there will be spectacular fireworks with BTS songs and background music by Jungkook, the boy band member. Broadcasts will take place on Weverse Live, YouTube, and TikTok.

Fans can purchase the group’s official merchandise at Hyundai Seoul Department Store in Yeouido, while a stamp area will be set up at Lotte Cinemas at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, southeast of Seoul.

BTS dropped “Take Two,” a new digital single on Friday, as their anniversary approaches. Created for her fans, the new song topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 92 countries around the world, including the US and UK, as well as the Spotify Global Top 50 chart.
