Boxing’s popularity continues unabated in the UK

While it is true that in pubs and on the streets people talk more about the exploits of Manchester City or Manchester United, you do not have to look far to find fans of the noble art.

And just like the round ball fans, the Mancuniens (a cute native of Manchester), boxing buffs can quench their thirst for rare pieces.

On the football scene, Ronaldo’s presence at Manchester United attracts fans. People come from all over Britain and Europe to see her in action. It alone generates great economic benefits with all those visitors who will pamper themselves with hotel nights and restaurant meals.

From a cultural standpoint, the hometown of the Bee-Gees and members of the band Oasis are now vibrating to the sound of the most popular music.

Boxing isn’t left out when you learn that Ricky Hatton and Tyson Fury are local kids.

The current WBC Heavyweight Champion, Fury owns 50% of the Goldstar Store, which specializes in selling coins and collectible sports memorabilia.

The company was, for some time now, one of the sponsors who featured in gypsy outfits in a cute giant shape in each of his fights.

On y trouve des pièces liées au soccer, au football Américain, à la formule 1, au basketball et bien entendu à la boxe qui, selon Bryce, gérant de ce magasin unique au Royaume-Uni, représente plus de 20% du chiffre d’ Affairs.

The vast majority of items are signed and certified to ensure their authenticity. Thus, accompanied by the exclusive display of Fury-related pieces, we find photo montages, gloves, and panties by Deontay Wilder, Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, Carl Froch (who killed Jean Pascal and Lucien Butte), and even Rocky himself, Sylvester Stallone.

It will, of course, be necessary to untie your wallet on a large scale. That would be the case for this 4,000-pound ($6,400 CAD) frame with autographed gloves from Stallone and the actors who played Rocky’s antagonists in the first four films of the series.

While browsing the aisles, your gaze might also stop at a signed montage dedicated to Jacques Villeneuve at £75 ($120 CAD) or another dedicated to Georges St-Pierre for £799 ($1280 CAD).

Thin compensation, prices shown include sales tax. But everyone knows that love and affection are priceless…
