(Sigulda) Canada’s Christine De Bruyne and Kristen Bojnowski won the bronze medal behind the United States and the United Kingdom on Sunday at the Women’s Bobsleigh World Cup in Sigulda.

American Ilana Myers-Taylor won her first bobsleigh World Cup in nearly three years. He was 19 years olde Career victory in the ring.

Teamed with Kwaza Lake to finish at 1:41.88.

Britain’s Micah McNeill and Adele Nicholl came in second with a time of 1:42.10, ahead of Canadians Christine de Bruyne and Christine Bojnovsky (1:42.12).

Myers-Taylor and Kwaza tied Russia’s Nadezhda Sergeeva and Yulia Belomstenkh bobsled after the first round. But the Russians fell in their second group, and got 15 pointse.

It was Myers Taylor’s first World Cup win in his last 11 games, and his last was in February 2019, at Lake Placid.

On the men’s side, Francesco Friedrich quickly regained his habits.

A day after the end of his 21-game winning streak (A 12e place), the German teamed up with Thorsten Margis to win in 1:39.16, narrowly defeating Britain’s Brad Hall and Nick Gleeson.

Hall and Gleeson finished second with a time of 1:39.22. Oskars Kipermanis and Matis Miknes of Latvia took third place with a time of 1:39.71.

Canadians Justin Krebs and Cam Stones finished eighth.
