A Netflix documentary series about David Beckham has just been announced. The English legend and Inter Miami co-owner announced the good news himself on Instagram on Wednesday.

A date has yet to be announced for the series, which has yet to be named, but it will chronicle Beckham’s life on and off the field. In particular, there will be interviews with key personalities of his football career and unpublished photos. Considering all that the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star achieved in his career, including winning several domestic and European titles, The content of the program promises to be very rich.
No clip of this documentary has yet been announced, but previous Netflix sports documentaries about celebrities have been a hit and give hope that Spice Boy’s artwork is also of good quality. The series is directed by duo Fisher Stevens and John Patsyk. Fisher Stevens won the 2010 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature as producer of the documentary The Cove (2009). Meanwhile, John Patsek produced the Academy Award-winning film One Day in September, about the Munich massacre during the 1972 Olympics, and the award-winning film Hillsborough in the United Kingdom.
This isn’t the first time Beckham has gone off screen! This is his second foray into the world of live streaming, after participating in Disney+’s Save Our Squad series. The series follows Beckham as he returns to his hometown of East London to nurture and mentor young players looking to become a professional.
