Banijay acquired Toooco, the production banner behind the unscripted song “Guess My Age” to cement its French position.
As part of this agreement, Tooco will be part of the Banijay France brand and will focus on original concepts for the French and international markets.
Tooco, led by Aurélien Lipiansky and Mikaël Moreau, introduced popular French formats, such as Le club des invincibles, produced with Banijay’s Air Production. and Guess My Age who has so far traveled to 22 countries including Italy, Spain and Germany. Tooco has several demo game offers in the UK, Italy and France.
Since its launch in 2015, the label has produced a wide range of programming that includes games, entertainment and reality TV shows.
“Michael and I are proud to join Banijay, who has long recognized the importance of investing in the creation of the French format, and we hope to leverage the strength and sales force of the group internationally to make travel our ideas around the world,” said Libyainsky.
“Tooco is a wonderful addition to our French portfolio,” said François de Brugada, President of Banijay France.
De Brugada described Libiansky and Moreau as “among the finest orchestra creators in our country”. “The Banigai brands have long achieved the impossible, and we have no doubts that with these two brands, a new generation of success is on the horizon,” he said.
Banijay has a network of over 120 production labels. Banijay Rights will act on behalf of the company to distribute its content.
