The head of Algerian diplomacy received an invitation from his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken, to pay a working visit to the United States. “As soon as their respective obligations permit”, This was stated in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published on Tuesday, July 11.
The statement added that Ahmed Ataf’s visit to Washington will be an opportunity to hold the sixth session of the Algerian-American strategic dialogue to assess the state of multidimensional cooperation between Algeria and the United States of America.
The same source adds that special attention will be paid to ” Regional security, combating terrorism, the ever-developing economic partnership, as well as the fields of culture and education occupy an increasing place in the relations between the two countries.
Ahmed Ataf visited Iran recently, after he carried out a European tour which took him to Italy, Serbia and Germany.
