Hudson scored the Americans’ third goal against Austria on Wednesday at the Nokia Arena in Tampere, Austria.

The diminutive defender caught the puck in his own territory, then beat a first-timer outside the zone and continued his way toward the opposing net. Even though he found himself in a foursome situation, he found a way to reach the opposite net. He slipped between two Austrians before beating goalkeeper Bernhard Starkbaum with a low backhand shot between the pads.

That’s great art, that’s the goal.

Hudson had a goal and an assist in the USA’s 4-1 win over Austria. Since the start of the tournament, the Boston University Terriers defender now has four points (1 goal, 3 assists) in four games.

The U.S. has won its first four games at the tournament in Tampere, Finland, and Riga, Latvia.

CH’s other good prospect, Sean Farrell, scored an assist against the Austrians with an assist on his last goal into an empty net. The Harvard University alum has one goal and one assist in four games.
