A portable digital space to get to know computers

The Luoga Association creates this help system at various places in the neighborhood.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, animators from the Luoga Association deploy their mobile digital space (ENA) in La Devèze to help local residents use IT tools and access the Internet.

Sandra, Forrest and/or Gabriel, of Luga, for example, set up shop every Tuesday, from 10am to 12pm in front of La Poste’s office with their computers on an unusual desk: a tricycle. The only machine parked in the square is an Italian tricycle equipped to transport the necessary equipment for the coaches, with an office area, in order, among other things, to support the population towards autonomy with regard to the use of a computer tool. “The other two goals are to reduce the digital divide and create a place for exchanges and meetingsSandra says. The scooter attracts attention and helps us to be more visible, and thus to define ourselves.” The host continued: “Today, it is necessary to know how to work on a computer, for example to process administrative files. So we invite residents of the region to come to meet us and offer to accompany them. Here, they can also use the equipment according to their needs, it can take place on the desk, and work independently. At the moment, motivation and competence of animators are not enough. “There is like a brake. People do not dare to sit still. Fear of passing a tie, the appearance of others, shyness … The reasons for not doing a dive are varied and varied.” Luoga leaders hope that the residents of La Devèze will dare to approach them.
