12 Manchester United players contracted food poisoning after Sharif’s victory

Manchester United players returned from Moldova, where they played with Sharif in the European League last Thursday, with food poisoning.

On their first trip to the eastern European country, United secured a 2-0 victory.

The goals of the first half from Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo made Eric Ten Hag’s team recover from the loss against Real Sociedad in the competition.

However, it turned out that at least 12 of the team members started feeling unwell when they returned Friday morning.

United’s players flew back to the UK on a private jet after the match but still had an unknown illness, which could have been caused by something they ate or from the plane itself.

A few players missed Friday’s recovery training session at Carrington, while others were still too sick to report the next day.

Fortunately for Tin Hag, he did not have to prepare the squad for the home game against Leeds United, which was scheduled for Sunday.

The match has been postponed due to a lack of police available before the Queen’s state funeral on Monday at Westminster Abbey.
